Our Pink Growers

 

Carefully chosen and selected, we have 3 super pink growers all based in Essex and Suffolk. Together we are growing the best pink onions possible, continually trialing and working with new varieties to bring the best Pink Onions to market.

It all started at P.G.Rix Farms- John Rix was the first to grow pink onions back in 2012. Since then volumes have over trippled and more growers have been introduced. John has learnt that Pink Onions need to be treated seperately to red and brown onions and are much more sensitive to surorunding conditions. This means they need a little bit more extra care and attention.

Westrope family- This second generation family run business has over 30 years expereince of growing Onions. They are passionate pioneers in caring for the countryside, having replanted over 4 miles of hedgerow since 2008. They also grow a beautiful pink onion!

Brown Family- This second generation family run business farms near Bury St Edmund in the unspoilt suffolk countryside. Charlie and his father grow some of the best Pink Onions which love their rich fertile soils.
